I respect others as long as they know how to return it back. That way, no one gets short-changed. I pretty much know how to get along with others as long as they don't say anything stupid and they become contemptable in my sight. I know how to make people comfortable around me, but I need to feel comfortable around them first. For me at this stage in life, I'd rather hunt for career advancements than hunt for some fun. I think the whole "courtship" thing is bs right now, because I know what I really want both being in my pants. Until I'm well on my way to reach my retirement age of 55, I want guaranteed returns for the short-term "investments" I make.
